Textural

This is my textural piece, and it took me 2 classes to finish but it was easy. All I had to do was roll out flat clay, roll the stamp onto the clay, place the designed clay into the bowl and hit the bowl until all the clay got to the bottom. When that was done I let the clay sit out and dry, the next class I took the clay bowl out and cleaned up the edges and smoothed it out. Then it dried and was fired and I glazed it a glossy blue and it went into the kiln and I'm really proud of it.

Slab

This is my slab box, when I had started I originally had the idea to do a candle holder box and when i had finished the first time it was drying and the next class it fell apart. So I had to start over and the second time I finished Mrs. Kolesa told me that I had to fix some of the edges and when I told her it was too dry, I just knew I had to start over. The last time I started over I was way behind in class and I gave up on the candle holder idea and made a regular box with an extra side in the front to make it look like the letter E. When I was done it has been sitting out to dry and ready to be fired and glazed.

Coil

This also took a while because when I had set it out to dry, a week later I come to look at it and once I picked it up it just broke. So I had to start over and when it was fired I glazed it a matte purple.

Pinch Pot

This took me a while because I had to fix some things and waited for it to be fired and glazed and the inside turned to a bubbly texture
